For non-commercial, non-explicit writing, I charge $0.04/word, or approximately $20/page. Purchase an "audiobook" of the piece read by me for a flat addition of $10.00. Payment is half upfront, half upon delivery using PayPal.

Pricing
PRICE, WORDS, AND PAGE COUNT
Pricing is in USD and is done to the nearest 100 words. If you don't know exactly how long you want your piece to be, try imagining how many pages you want. A "page" here refers to an average 1.15-spaced, 11 pt font Google Doc (see example below), which in fiction is typically about 500 words depending on dialogue. Note that I will still charge based on word count, not page count, so you're not paying more if you have a lot of dialogue, for example.
I will never charge you more than agreed upon if I happen to write over the word count. If you need a specific word/character count (ie, something you can send as a Discord message) I will trim accordingly.

FORMATTING
If you'd like your document presented in a different format, I will do my best to accommodate. I will still charge based on word count, so don't worry if you need your document double-spaced or in a larger font!
WHAT IS "EXPLICIT" CONTENT?
Explicit content refers to both sex and extreme violence - think of it as being anything rated R. These pieces are more expensive simply because they are more difficult and time-consuming for me to write.Note that when you pay for a work that contains explicit content, but not exclusively explicit content, the price will be equal to the sum of the explicit word count and non-explicit word count (usually rounded to the nearest 100 words). We'll discuss the ratios involved during the outlining process, before payment is requested of you.
AUDIO ADD-ON
The Audio Add-On option is if you want to additionally receive an audio file of the piece being read aloud. You will receive the file after all revisions are done and the final payment is made (though if I mispronounce a name or something similar, I can re-record it for you).

IN GENERAL, I WILL WRITE:- Fan fiction (including for fandoms that I have to research)- Fiction involving your OCs- Explicit sexual content- Explicit violent contentI WILL NOT WRITE:- "Fan fiction" of real people- Hateful content (ie content that shows bigotry in a positive light)- Sexual content involving minors- Non-consensual sexual content- Your homework- Anything else that makes me uncomfortable
By purchasing my services, you agree to the following. If you have a problem with any of these terms, they may be changed if discussed with me prior to paying for your commissioned piece.
1. GENERAL TERMS- The exact final word count of a piece may vary from the initial agreement, but I will do my best to never write fewer words than I am paid for.- Unless you specify a hard word count or character limit, I may end up writing more than the agreed upon word count. I will NOT charge you extra if I end up writing over target.- Prices are subject to change based on demand.- I have the right to reject any order that I do not feel comfortable writing for any reason.- You DO NOT have the right to feed any of my work into an AI. This includes using my writing to train an AI, using my writing to prompt an AI, or editing my work with an AI.
2. PAYMENT- Currency accepted is USD and can be paid through PayPal. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PAYPAL ACCOUNT WILL BE UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME (Genevieve Wayne).- Commissions are paid upfront, after a discussion of the project, a written outline, and an agreement on word count. If you need to pay half upfront and half on delivery of the final document, this can be arranged.- Don't send me any payment before I have agreed to take on your commission and have requested that you send me the payment.
3. PROCESS AND DELIVERY- The time it takes to finish your commission varies depending on factors such as my health, the length and complexity of the commissioned piece, and my other work.- If anything comes up that will slow the progress of the initially estimated delivery time I will let you know ASAP.- Once the piece is finished, I will send you your choice of text file format, and your choice of audio file format if you purchased the Audio Add-On option.
4. REVISIONS- You get 1 free major revision included in the price. This would be for things like adding a scene, significant character reworks, changing the PoV or tense. You also get infinite free minor revisions for things like changing character names, re-wording a particular sentence, or sprucing up a descriptive passage.- A fee will be added if you want additional major revisions.
5. COPYRIGHT / USAGE POLICYI, Jay Wayne (the writer), claim the rights to the produced text and audio file, not the buyer. Therefore I am allowed to use the copyrighted materials to:- Promote myself with it everywhere- Display it everywhere to my liking (website, social media, etc.)- Post it wherever I want
The buyer is allowed to:- Use the commissioned piece for personal use unless agreed otherwise (you can upload it on all your social media profiles, forums, etc.)- Print the piece and claim the ideas as their own, but not the writing itself.- Use the piece to promote themselves. You are not forced to give me credit when you post it but it is very appreciated.- Use the piece on their website, social media, or Youtube channel as long as the piece itself is not generating profits (ie being sold or provided as part of a subscription).
The following is considered copyright infringement:- Reproducing/using the copyrighted writing commercially - means making money off it in any way.- Claiming the writing as your own- Altering the content of the text or audio file without my consent- Using the writing to teach, prompt, or otherwise interact with an AII reserve the full rights to the text, audio file, and their use/distribution unless otherwise agreed upon.
6. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION- I will do everything I can to make my customers happy, within reason!- If you have a problem with anything in regards to the commissioned piece please tell me right away so we can find a solution together.- I am willing to change some of my terms for you if you ask before I start on your commission. If you, e.g., do not want me to post your piece anywhere, we can discuss this.
7. REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY- The buyer is not allowed a refund once I started working on the commission.- If for any reason I am unable to start your commission you will receive a full refund.- If you cancel your order before I start it, you can get a full refund.If the buyer breaks any of the points stated above they will lose all the aforementioned rights to the writing commissioned by me, Jay Wayne (the writer), and I will have the right to profit further from the commissioned artwork in any way I see fit. If you have a problem with any of these statements, they may be changed if discussed with me prior to paying for your commissioned piece.

WHAT DO YOU GET?- A written outline of the project before I request the initial payment for the commission- A text document in your choice of format (and another after revisions, should those be necessary)- If purchased, an audio file in your choice of format (and another after revisions, should those be necessary)
